The CCP Condemned After Transferring Wang Zhiwen To Brainwashing Center
Wang Zhiwen, Beijing Falun Gong practitioner and volunteer
contact person of Falun Dafa Research Association, ,
has been forcibly transferred to the Brainwashing Center
in Changping District of Beijing.
This comes after a 15 year illegal detention in prison.
While advocating the “rule of the law,” the CCP continues
to unlawfully restrict freedom of citizens.
Its persecution of Wang Zhiwen has been condemned by
many groups and activists from U.S., Taiwan and mainland China.
They demand the immediate and unconditional release
of Wang .
“Mr. Wang should be freed immediately, and allowed to
reunite with his family,” said Chris Smith, the Congressman
and co-chair of the U.S. Executive-Congressional
Commission on China said in an Epoch Times interview.
Smith said U.S. top-level officials need to pressure
the CCP on this issue.
Taiwan also pays close attention to Wang Zhiwen.
Many condemn the CCP and demand the immediate release
of Wang and other prisoners of conscience, including
parliament member Yu Mei-Nu, president of Taiwan
Association for China Human Rights (TACHR) Yang Sen-Hong,
founder of Cross-Strait Agreement Watch and lawyer
Lai Chung-chiang, and president of Taiwan Association
of University Professor Lu Chung-Chin.
Theresa Chu, Taiwan human rights lawyer: “Major China
human rights watch groups and Falun Gong human rights
lawyer groups always pay close attention to Wang Zhiwen
and other prisoners of conscience.
All parties have actively joined a recent discussion
about the creation of the Refugee Act in Taiwan.
It is not surprising to see many lawyers and rights activities
voice support for Wang Zhiwen.”
Theresa Chu said the CCP claimed it would
“rule China by law,” but Wang Zhiwen’s case
and other Falun Gong practitioners are still under threat
of persecution or even live organ harvesting.
All these clearly show that the CCP’s “rule of the law”
is empty talk and nothing more than a slogan.
Theresa Chu: “After being illegally detained for 15 years,
Wang reached the end of his unjust sentence.
However, immediately following, he was directly transferred
to a brainwashing center.
You can hardly find better sarcasm against
the CCP’s ‘rule by law’ than this.”
Wang Xiaodan, daughter of Wang Zhiwen, held
a press conference on Oct. 24 in front of the CCP’s
U.S. Ambassador in Washington DC.
She told her father’s story to audience and journalists.
She demanded that the CCP immediately and unconditionally
release Wang Zhiwen, and called for efforts from
the U.S. government and global society to secure her father.
Beijing Falun Gong practitioner Wang Zhiwen once worked
in the CCP’s railway system.
He was a Falun Dafa Research Association
volunteer contact person.
On April 25, 1999 when tens of thousands of Falun Gong
practitioners petitioned at Zhongnanhai, Wang Zhiwen
was one of the representatives to talk and appeal
to Premier Zhu Rongji.
After Jiang Zemin began persecution against Falun Gong,
Wang was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
According to Wang Xiaodan, Wang Zhiwen refused
to abandon his belief of “Truthfulness, Compassion
and Tolerance.”
As a result, he was tortured in many ways during
imprisonment, such as hand and foot cuffing, beating,
sleep deprivation, slave work, teeth breaking
and nail pricking.
Wang was found to have cerebral thrombosis in prison,
but the CCP did not offer any medical treatment to him.
On Oct. 19 2014, Wang was released from prison.
However, he was forcibly transferred to a brainwashing
center in Changping District directly following.
Inhuman persecution and so-called “mind conversion”
brainwashing continues on him.
Chen Xiaomei, Shenyang resident: “Wang Zhiwen
is a civilian who never breaks the law.
He has his own belief and there is nothing wrong with that.
He did not kill people or demolish others’ homes.
Is there any problem with having one’s own belief?
How can the CCP send him to brainwashing center
after detaining him for so many years?
He has his own family.
He should have his own life.”
Hu Ping, chief-editor of Beijing Spring magazine, said the CCP
persecution of Falun Gong followed the June Fourth Incident
of 1989, and has been the longest lasting political persecution
involving most people and is executed in worst manners.
Hu Ping, chief-editor of Beijing Spring magazine: “We call
on those within the CCP’s regime who still have a conscience
to stand out and say NO to such a long-lasting crime.
Things like this should be stopped, otherwise it will
become worse.
Without solving this (Falun Gong) issue, any other
improvement in human rights issues can hardly be expected.”
Hu Ping said the importing thing is whether they practice
Falun Gong or not, people should pay close attention
to Falun Gong issues and voice support
for those under persecution.
