會見被關律師 再被拒絕
大陸人權律師余文生13號被當局帶走後，一直備受關注。北京律師王宇16號在微信上說，她與張維玉律師再次到大興看守所要求會見余文生，看守所以上級命令為由，拒絕律師會見，僅僅口頭告知，余文生因為涉嫌「尋釁滋事」已經被拘捕。
廣州計程車大罷工
廣州市一萬多輛計程車從15號開始罷工，司機們抗議黑車過多、費用太高、起步價以及燃油補貼過低。大批罷工計程車分別集結在棠下、琶洲閱江路、花都區政府等地。罷工持續到16號。據了解廣州目前有84家計程車公司，共有3萬多輛計程車。
大陸再有公民聲援香港被拘
據大陸維權網站16號報導，14號被佛山警方抓走的維權人士天理、葉六妹、梁灼森、郭惠珍4人，已全部被拘留。4人近期都曾去過香港旅遊。
另外，居住長沙的腎衰竭患者周傑，因為聲援香港佔中，16號在去醫院途中，被長沙國保以「尋釁滋事」罪的名義行政拘留，但因病人需要定期做血透，而沒有執行拘留。
昆明百名業主維權被驅散
15號，雲南省昆明市五華區，昆明公交公司集資房的上百名業主到五華區政府維權，抗議艾亭地產集資詐騙，五年不能交房，業主一度將武成路交通阻斷，但是遭警察暴力驅散。此前，業主多次維權但是一直沒有結果。
News on Human Rights Activities.
Let’s take a look at some of the human rights activities that
took place in China today.
Banned Again From Meeting Lawyers.
Chinese human rights lawyer Yu Wensheng was taken
away by the authorities on Oct.13.
This incident has caused a great deal of concern.
Beijing lawyer Wang Yu said on microblog on Oct.16, that
he and lawyer Zhang Weiyui went back to Daixing Detention
Center to visit Yu Wensheng. The detention center refused
Yu’s meeting with lawyers on instructions from higher up.
They only told them verbally that Yu Wensheng
has been arrested on suspicion of “Making Trouble".
Guangzhou City Taxi Drivers’ Major Strike.
More than ten thousand taxi drivers in Guangzhou City
went on strike starting on Oct. 15.
Drivers protested against the high number of unlicensed taxis,
and their high costs, low starting price and low fuel subsidies.
Many drivers on strike gathered at Tangxia, Pazhou
Yuejiangzhong Road and Huadu District Government.
The strike continued into Oct. 16. Guangzhou currently has
84 taxi companies with a total of over 30,000 taxies.
More Chinese Citizens Arrested for Supporting Hong Kong.
According to the report by weiquanwang.org on Oct. 16,
human rights activists Tian Li, Ye Liumei, Liang Zhousen
and Guo Huizheng, who were arrested by Foshan Police on
Oct.14, are all in detention.
All of them went to Hong Kong recently for tourism.
In addition, Changsha resident Zhou Jie, who suffers from
kidney failure, was arrested on his way to the hospital on
Oct.16 and detained by Changsha National Security for
“making trouble.”
Because he needed regular dialysis, the detention was
not implemented.
Hundreds of Business Owners in Kuming Dismissed.
On Oct.15, hundreds of business owners from Wuhuan
District, Kumning City, Yunnan Province who participated
in the Kunming Bus Company housing funding raising,
gathered at the Wuhua District government compound.
They protested against Aiting Real Estate’s
fund-raising fraud.
Aiting could not deliver the housing after five years.
The owners blocked the traffic on Wucheng Rd and were
violently dispersed by the police.
Previously, the owners tried to defend their rights
many times without any result.
