Chinese People Ashamed At Sino-Russian Joint Naval Drills

In Vladivostok, at Russia’s Pacific Fleet base, a joint sea-2013

naval drill was held between China and Russia.

From July 8, it began the practical military exercises stage, which

Chinese Communist Party (CCP) media reported as high-profile.

It claimed the joint naval drills are a “luxury lineup in a more

sensitive place” and was a deterrent to Japan.

However, it created the opposite reaction of mainland Chinese.

Some observers said that China held the joint naval drills with

Russian to show off how strong and tough it is to the outside.

The drill place is Chinese territory which is agreed by the CCP,

in fact it’s disgraceful for China.

In 1949, former leader of the CCP, Mao Zedong signed a Sino-

Soviet agreement with the former Soviet leader, Stalin.

Mao not only unconditionally admitted outer Mongolia’s

independence, but also admitted that Vladivostok as well as

its suburbs were Russia’s original territory.

On December 9, 1999, former CCP leader Jiang Zemin and

former president of Russia, Boris Yeltsin, signed a

“Narrative Protocol on Eastern and Western Sections

of the China-Russia Boundary”.

The protocol formed the law document

between Chinese and Russian Boundaries.

The fact that Jiang Zemin gave away these lands was covered

up by himself. Several years later, Russia published it.

Until then, Chinese people didn’t know that Jiang quietly

gave away large areas of China’s national lands.

Chinese Journalist Du Bin Exposes The Inside Story Of His Detention

On July 8, mainland Chinese independent journalist Du Bin

was conditionally released by Beijing police.

Now, he is in the stage of “guarantor pending trial".

Earlier, Du produced documentary film “Women Above

Ghost head” and book “Tiananmen Massacre”.

Beijing police detained Du for “causing a disturbance" and

held him in Fengtai District Detention Center for 37 days.

BBC Chinese edition website rreported that Du denied

the accusation of “causing a disturbance”.

He said: “I have never left my home. How can I

“cause a disturbance?”

Du said the police accused him of “spreading rumors online".

Du thought the documentary film he produced reflected the

brutal torture of in Masanjia Women’s Forced Labor Camp.

The book “Tiananmen Massacre" is based on all kinds of

publications, including the propaganda materials compiled by

the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the Memoirs of

Zhao Ziyang and Li Peng. It refocused the history.

Du revealed that when the police held trial about him, they

accused him of accepting an interview by Falun Gong media.

The police then accused him of “spreading rumors online".

But this crime didn’t appear in the formal accusation.

Du also told Deutsche Welle that he felt sad for his parents,

relatives and friends getting involved in it.

However he would still do what he should do.

He didn’t regret what he has done.

Du was born in 1972. He is a freelance writer and

independent documentary film-maker.

He was a contract photographer of the New York Times.

On June 1, six plain-clothes police in Beijing

came to his place and arrested him.

His three computers and two mobile phones were confiscated

by the police, and haven’t been returned to him yet.
