Facebook

The Shove Behind Chongqing’s Suspect Mass Protest

At 11pm on April 10th, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)

announced the removal of former Chongqing party secretary

Bo Xilai (in office for over four years) prompting a two day

protest by 10, 000 people singing Red Songs in Chongqing.

The protest seems to be supporting Bo, but in this sensitive

situation, who does hope for chaos in China?

And who is the person behind this?

The CCP’s mouthpiece media Xinhua News Agency reported

the news at 11pm of April 10 that Bo was under investigation.

The next day, major media and websites reported this news

on their front pages.

Meanwhile, the People’s Daily published comments in support

of the so-called “central decision.”

Sources said that directors above city-level of the propaganda

department arrived in Beijing on Apr.10 to speak with one voice.

On the afternoon of April 10th, 10,000+ people in Wansheng

District in Chongqing held protest against the merging of Qijiang county.

Thousands of police came to suppress the

protest causing serious conflicts with protesters.

Public suspected the protest has the following background:

the merging of Wansheng District with Qijiang county was

decided by Bo Xilai in his reign in Chongqing last October.

Now the protest broke out just in the special period when the

CCP is handling Bo Xilai’s case. The timing is suspect.

The online video uploaded by Wansheng locals shows that

the protesters gathered around a large man in a hat.

The man took the lead in chanting slogans and singing red-

songs. People around him became excited.

Someone questioned, are they expressing their emotions of

“supporting Bo Xilai”?

Xia Xiaoqiang: “If we have a close look, the root cause of

this clash stems from the policy advocated by Bo Xilai.

The piled-up popular discontent erupted at this time, clearly

showing a helping hand behind the scenes by someone who wants Hu & Wen to bear the guilt.”

Zhang Tianliang, professor at George Mason University notes

that protesters haven’t shown the usual anger and sadness.

In light of the current situation, the person who wants most to

stir up social chaos is Zhou Yongkang, Zhang thinks.

Zhang Tianliang: “Because he (Zhou Yongkang) will find

an excuse, i.e. not giving the people any hope.

His excuse is that if the oppression is weakened, civilians will

rise up to fight for their own interests and rights.

If not using violence to suppress it, similar protests will quickly

sweep the country.

So in order to safeguard stability, the CCP regime still needs

Zhou Yongkang.

Zhou thinks that he should be the beneficiary of this clash."

“Go directly after the chief villain,” Zhang Tianliang adds that

Bo has been captured, but the ringleader has not been caught.

Zhang Tianliang: “Bo Xilai has lost ground, yet Zhou is likely

to create trouble. The red-song singing campaign is still going on.

Like the red-song singing activity held at Beijing’s

Jingshan Park two days ago.

So I figure that under such a kind of threat, Hu&Wen may

be more determined to quickly remove and arrest Zhou.”

Xia Xiaoqiang reviews “the blood-debt clan” represented by

Zhou Yongkang and Li Changchun.

Fearing being brought to trial, the clan has long controlled the

media, the police and armed police troops.

In the name of safeguarding “stability”, they blocked the web

and arrested people.

“The blood-debt clan” attempted to make Hu & Wen into

scapegoats, awaiting the chance to initiate a coup, says Xia.

Xia Xiaoqiang: “Zhou Yongkang is exerting himself to stir up

nation-wide troubles.

He hopes that the whole country presents the same chaos as

in Chongqing.

If Hu & Wen could quickly remove and catch Zhou Yongkang,

his followers will rapidly be defeated and dispersed.

Since Bo Xilai’s downfall, Jiang’s clique rapidly defected and

pledged their loyalty to Hu Jingtao.

So if Hu & Wen can decisively launch an attack by publicly

arresting Zhou Yongkang, neither private nor public will come to harm but only benefit. ”

Xia Xiaoqiang thinks that the best action that Hu & Wen

should take now is to bring persecutors to justice.

These criminals include Jiang Zemin, Zhou Yongkang,

among others.

In this way, Hu & Wen could give the public an explanation,

then disintegrate the CCP to complete their historic mission.
