Internet Censorship Trend Reflects Intensifying CCP Infighting
China’s internet monitoring tightens after a short-term relaxation,
allegedly caused by the conflicts between Hu-Wen and Jiang.
Some analysts believe that although Zhou Yongkang,
senior leader in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), is controlled,
the propaganda system is still under the control of Li Changchun,
the CCP’s Propaganda Chief.
However some overseas analysts say this may be a trap set by
Hu to capture Zhou and his forces.
As China’s Internet monitoring increases in its severity,
media sites, NTDTV, dongtaiwang.com, and dajiyuan.com
suffered a large scale attack by hackers on April 1 at 9:00 am EST,
with most IP addresses coming from Beijing.
The CCP media, “People net”, published an assessment on April 1,
claiming that the CCP will increase its punishment
on those who spread the alleged internet rumors,
such as the “ military vehicles in Beijing” and “Beijing accident”.
Wang Beiji, Executive Director of the “Democracy University”
in New York says, in normal democratic countries,
it’s the media who monitors the government and serves the public,
but dictatorial societies have no impartial and independent media.
Beiji says the alleged “rumors” appear due to the lack of
timely and correct information.
Wang Beiji: “Rumors are a kind of public speculation,
if there was normal media in the CCP society, no rumors will exist.
So controlling the alleged rumors is a violation on the people’s
freedom of speech and right to know—it’s the CCP’s new crime.”
Wang Beiji says, people who block the Internet and arrest
citizens do not realize the CCP’s current situation.
Wang Beiji: “These people who carry out the CCP’s orders,
they block the Internet and catch people through its monitoring.
I think such people are being brainwashed by the CCP,
otherwise they will not do such things.
With a clear mind, these people will look back, upon reaching
a certain age, and see that they have done so many bad things.
Such people should atone, repent and surrender quickly.”
Xia Xiaoqiang, an overseas network writer says, it’s Jiang』 s forces
counter-attacking Hu-Wen, prior to Jiang’s faction facing trial.
Xia Xiaoqiang:“After Hu and Wen caught Bo Xilai, they lifted the
ban on some sensitive words on Baidu, China’s Google equivalent.
They released a message of political reform and freedom of speech
to the outside world—the next step to Jiang’s forces facing trial.
However, during the week of Hu Jintao’s absence, Zhou blocked
the Internet, deleted posts and arrested people, with Li’s support.
Zhou passed the blame for public suppression to Hu-Wen, again.”
Xia Xiaoqiang thinks, Zhou and Jiang threatened Hu-Wen
by making him take responsibility for the CCP’s near collapse.
In fact, the over 10-year persecution of Falun Gong has destroyed
China’s legal system completely, accelerating social and moral
degeneration and cutting off any hope for CCP reform—
this is why Chinese people despair over the CCP.
Xia Xiaoqiang: “Since Hu-Wen took over the regime from Jiang,
the CCP’s fate of collapse became inevitable.
And Jiang’s forces passed the blame for the persecution
to Hu-Wen at the same time.
Hu-Wen has taken responsibility until now, so if Hu-Wen cannot
solve these problems during his office term, those associated with the CCP and its crimes may face trial.
Wang Beiji says, the CCP’s history shows that its internal
power struggles involve the sacking of many senior officials.
The CCP’s entire system is defective; recent power struggles show
that officials continue to follow their previous ways of infighting.
Wang Beiji says, disintegrating the CCP is the only way out.
Wang Beiji: “The CCP has no ability to correct its ways,
so the so-called “error correction” is a lie.”
