CCP’s “School Bus Giveaway” Infuriates Public
A nine-passenger school van carrying 62 kids and two adults
crashed in Gansu Province, leading to the deaths of 18 children and 2 adults and 44 injuries.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) did not immediately
respond to the incident but it was recently reported
that the CCP donated 23 luxury school buses to Macedonia,
with the intention of improving Macedonia’s learning environment.
The news prompted a swell of anger from the public,
accusing the authorities of ignoring and looking down at the Chinese people in order to flatter foreign countries.
The public is requesting that the CCP authorities “give children
a good explanation" as to why they did what they did.
Some netizens called for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA)
to change its name to “Aid to Foreign Country Ministry."
It was reported that the school buses sent to Macedonia
were made by Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co. Ltd.
and valued at 1 million euros (US$1,323,700).
Macedonia’s per capita income is much higher than China’s and
its national purchasing power is 1.5 times greater than China’s.
University students in Macedonia account for 40% of
the population, while in China, that figure stands at only 25%.
Vehicle ownership in Macedonia is five times
greater than in China.
News of the CCP’s school bus giveaway to Macedonia
has caused the public to lash out at the CCP.
Netizens said that 90% of them are against the foreign donation.
The MFA’s telephones were bombard by the public.
Zhao Jingzhou, a China mainland dissident:
“Some companies in China are shameless.
In order to support the CCP’s interests, they ignore the safety
of children in China.
School bus quality in China is behind all other countries’
in the world, and they still will to spend the money on others,
It was just like in Mao Zedong’s time when he visited Africa
and gave money away to buy votes, in order to better his chances of joining the United Nations.
This is corruption; this is the CCP’s enterprises at work, here."
Zhao Jingzhou believes regardless of the suffering of the
Chinese people,
the CCP won’t help the Macedonian people from their hearts,
but only out of their own self-interests.
Zhao Jingzhou: “The CCP isn’t really interested in aiding Macedonian,
they just seek to secure future benefits from such a move.
They used this bus giveaway to gain more credibility
in the world.
It’s possible that the donation wasn’t even made by the
Zhengzhou Yutong bus company, but rather by the CCP.
They just gave away the buses in the company’s name,
spending the public’s money by sending a gift in order to gain respect from the world.
Over the past two years, numerous mainland China
school buses accidents occurred in Guangdong, Gansu,
Shanxi, Hubei, and Dalian, killing a total of 55 students and
injuring over a hundred.
On Nov. 16, a Gansu Province nine-passenger school van
crammed with 62 children and two adults crashed into a coal truck.
Suchuan commentator, Pu Fei, believes that in China
there are no school bus safety regulations.
In addition, in some rural areas, such as Gansu,
where education funding is lacking, they have to use small vans instead of regular-sized school buses.
Anti-corruption Volunteer website founder, Zhang Jianzhong,
said that CCP’s officials spend money on elaborate dinners
and then send so-called “aid" to foreign countries.
How much money has been used that people don’t know about?
Zhang Jianzhong: “Chinese people can’t even afford
proper medical treatment,
however, the authorities send 23 buses valued at US$1,323,700
to help other countries without caring about their own people.
Their purpose is to stop the outside world from criticizing
China’s dismal human rights record.
So it pays a little bribe money to secure its own future interests.
In some rural areas of China, people cannot afford even 20 yuan
(US$3.14) worth of medicine, causing some people to commit suicide.
This country is without hope. If the authorities use the donations
that they make to other countries for the people of China, that would be a great help."
Dissident Ren Junping said that the CCP is always careless
with its own people.
Because the CCP is a Marxist-Leninist party’s successor,
the CCP has nothing to do with traditional Chinese leadership,
thus they have no desire to benefit their own nation.
Ren Junping: “Why? Because none of the killed children in
the school van is theirs;
none of their children study in poor quality schoolrooms,
as they send their children abroad. They know the CCP will collapse soon.
When school buses crash, they don’t care about it,
they don’t even try to rescue the injured.
On the contrary, they only care about foreign affairs,
and as a result, they definitely annoy everyone."
Many popular websites have offered condemning comments,
about the bus giveaway, one after another,
including Netease, Sina, and other major websites.
Over 50 million posts were recorded, regarding this bus issue.
Netizens criticized the MFA, with one post saying,
“The other country’s children are smiling, ours are crying."
There is also a joint appeal for the MFA to change its name
to “Aid to Foreign Country Ministry."
