Mourners erected a shrine in front of this Apple store in Sydney, Australia, one day after Jobs died.

One Brazilian student is sad that Jobs’ era has come to an end.

“I’m feeling sad because I think it’s a pity the next generation will not see him, the genius that he was."

Others left cards, remembering the passing of their hero.

“Steve Jobs was someone who lived by his rule of ‘stay hungry, stay foolish.’ And it’s looking at him and his way of life that I decided to start up my own company. He was moral support in life."

And outside this Tokyo store, Apple fans hold an electronic vigil – digital candles flickering on the screens of these iPads.
