In its latest move in a campaign of media crackdown the Chinese Communist Party—or CCP—has blocked the broadcast signal of Hong Kong-based Sun TV.

中國共產黨(或稱CCP)近來在一項對媒體鎮壓的行動中，對香港陽光衛視的播送訊號進行封鎖。

Starting December 5, Sun TV headquarters began receiving calls from subscribers in the Mainland, complaining they could no longer receive the channel.

自12月5日開始，陽光衛視的總部就開始接到許多大陸的用戶打來的電話，抱怨他們無法再收看到他們的頻道。

Sun TV representatives have acknowledged their signal is being blocked in mainland China, and they don’t know why. They say Sun TV did not receive any warning or explanation from the Ministry of Public Security or any other arm of the Chinese regime.

陽光衛視的代表早就知道他們的訊號在大陸被封鎖，但原因不明。他們說陽光衛視並未收到公安部或是中國政府其他部門所發出的任何警告或解釋。

There is speculation the CCP censors decided to block Sun’s broadcast in response to its talk shows, featuring political commentary that’s increasingly critical of CCP rule.

根據推測，中國共產黨的電視節目審查員之所以決定將陽光衛視停播，乃是針對該台在訪談節目中，一些對中國共產黨統治日益不滿的政治評論所做的特別報導做出回應。

Sun TV’s broadcast in Hong Kong has not been affected.

而香港當地的陽光衛視播放並未受到影響。
