Who of us had a favorite teddy bear as a child? A teddy we could share all our secrets with.

“This is quite a phenomenon! Why would we trust the biggest predator? Nobody can explain this. There are kitty cats, squirrels and bunnies as well, but it is bears that get such special treatment”.

「這真是蔚為風潮！為什麼我們會相信這隻大肉食動物？沒有人可以解釋這個現象。雖然有小貓、松鼠，和小兔子，但是熊卻得到這種特別的待遇。」

And this special treatment extends to having a whole exhibition dedicated to teddy bears. You can see teddy bears from the 1930s here, even the display bear from the 1980 Moscow Olympic’s.

而這項特別的待遇，更延伸成了一整個獻給泰迪熊為主題的展覽。在這裡，你可以看到1930年代的泰迪熊，甚至有1980年莫斯科奧林匹克運動會的展示熊。

“Even though artists create new teddy bears based on the old images, they each have their own new personalities, appearance and name. Very exclusive!”

There’s also the old time favorite, Winnie the Pooh. The designer has made it as close as possible to the cartoon version.

“He was a character loved by everyone, and we wanted every child to be able to have such a character at home, to hug him and play with him, not just see him on TV.”

This Ukrainian toy maker aims to replicate traditional costumes on her teddy bears.

這家烏克蘭玩具製造商，打算將傳統服飾穿在她的泰迪熊上。

[Oksana Sklyarenko, Toy Maker]:

“When I brought my work here, I wanted to show that my bears are from Ukraine and so I dressed them in traditional costumes- all hand-embroidered. I studied the history of costumes, so as to make them genuine replicas.”

「當我把我的作品帶來這兒，我想要讓人知道我的熊來自烏克蘭，所以我幫它們穿上傳統服飾—-都是手工繡的。我研究了服裝的歷史，以便讓它們看起來像真品的複製。」

Though toy exhibitions are held all over the world, this exhibition was a big deal because it was Ukraines first.
