Fu Ying Rebukes Europe
Fu Ying, Vice Foreign Minister of China, rebuked
European countries in Slovenia on September 11.
She said that the image of Europe in China is undermined
since European countries cannot recognize
the political system of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
She also warned that China-EU relations will be damaged
by EU’s ”double standard,” which brings lack of mutual trust.
According to the public, Fu’s words are not something new,
but only “parrot talk" dictated by the CCP.

正文
At EU-China relations’ meeting in Slovenia, Fu Ying warned
Europeans about their stereotypes on CCP’ political system.
She called this a “Europe bias against China,"
which had damaged the image of Europe in China.
She required that Europe
“remove these useless barriers and prejudices."
Li Jianmang (political and economic affairs critic):
“Such an action [of Fu Ying] is rather witless.
If you have done things right, there is nothing to be
ashamed of. China has indeed a poor human rights record.
Why are Europeans concerned about human rights
in China? This is a question for CCP to ask itself.
What problems have you created
that have affected the whole world?”
Why are the European countries concerned
about China’s human rights situation?
Du Daobin (Scholar, writer, political critic): “Europeans
understand the history of this system [communism].
They believe that there is no future for this system,
which has its justifications.
If China marches forward in the current direction,
it will become exactly the same as the Nazis.
They both emphasize control of the masses
and pursue development at the disregard of human rights.”
In addition to politics and human rights, Fu Ying criticized
Europe’s double standard towards Chinese economy.
She said, Europe does not accept China’s political system,
yet it wants to benefit from China’s economic development.
Independent scholar Du Daobin thinks that Fu Ying mixes
deliberately the CCP, China and Chinese people’ concepts,
in order to create confusion.

Du Daobin: “Europe is currently China’s largest
trading partner, but it is anti-communist.
European countries want to be part of China’s development,
and to share the benefits with the Chinese people.
But they don’t want to cooperate with CCP’s monopolized
interests. Europe wants to cooperate with Chinese people,
not with the CCP. European countries are not wrong,
not at all!"
According to public opinions, CCP has been trying to rely
on ”commercialized foreign relations" to fetter of Europe.
It even tries to influence U.S. government through
corporations. When criticized for its human rights situation,
CCP always resorts to such terms as ”internal affairs"
or ”different situation” as an excuse.
Du Daobin: “This generation of CCP diplomats, represented
by Fu Ying and Li Zhaoxing lack necessary abilities.
They only try to protect CCP’s interests, not China. China’s
foreign diplomacy acts against China’s national interests.”
Fu Ying also mentioned Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao’s
visit to Britain in June.
British Prime Minister Cameron said to Wen that only with
improved human rights can economy maintain development.
Referring to this, Fu Ying satirizes August’ riot in London,
that Chinese are confused about British economy’ stability.
Gu Xiaojun (writer, Mainland China): “Her [Fu Ying]
subtext is clear: do not criticize us. This is inappropriate.
People have the right to talk; and others have the right
to express their opinions.
As a deputy foreign minister, she is ungracious
to show anger on such a diplomatic occasion.
She shows arrogant attitude and tries to establish
political rules by herself. The impact is very bad.”
Fu Ying recently challenged opinions in Der Spiegel
over China’s economic, military and human rights issues.
In its Chinese edition published by the Chinese Embassy
in Germany, the original text was significantly altered.
Li Jianmang: ”I still feel that such officials [as Fu Ying]
are merely performing “parrot talk,"
uttering words dictated by CCP.
Every time the same words are being repeated.
In terms of political security,
CCP is well aware of its crisis, otherwise why would it
spend so much money on maintaining social stability!?"
