【新唐人2014年07月07日訊】香港新聞自由「數十年來最黑暗」
「香港記者協會」7月6號發佈「2014年言論自由年報」說，香港新聞自由狀況在過去一年大幅度惡化，是數十年來最黑暗的一年。
「年報」指出，《明報》前總編輯劉進圖遇襲、《商業電臺》政論熱線節目主持李慧玲被解聘、《蘋果日報》與《am730》被抽掉廣告、港府拒絕發放免費電視牌照給香港電視網路等事件，都顯示香港媒體「飽受來自四面八方的打壓」。
香港新聞界自我審查的情況也日益嚴重，「香港記協」6號宣佈，成立「自我審查監督委員會」，接受記者與評論員投訴，並曝光調查屬實案例。
新疆7.5事件五週年 維人全球抗議
週六（7月5號）是新疆「7•5流血事件」五週年紀念日，海外維人組織「世界維吾爾人大會」表示，中共當局並沒有吸取「7•5事件」的教訓，依然採取各種手段壓制維吾爾人。「世維會」發言人說，他們已經發起了全球抗議，呼籲國際社會關注維吾爾人遭遇的不公。
2009年7月5號，新疆烏魯木齊發生大規模抗議衝突，至少200人在衝突中死亡，1000多人受傷。中共當局和海外維人組織對事件各有描述，中共官方聲稱有所謂「暴徒」打砸搶，並濫殺無辜，製造騷亂﹔海外維人組織則引述目擊者的話說，是中共警方對和平示威者使用致命武器。中共當局在事後封鎖各類信息，外界至今無法調查真相。
河北邯鄲上千工人堵路討薪
7月5號，河北省邯鄲市上千名建築工人堵路討薪，多人被警方抓捕。
據《自由亞洲電臺》報導，邯鄲市「邯三建築公司新城國際」項目部，拖欠上千名建築工人的工資近半年，5號早晨，工人拉著橫幅，在三條道路的交叉口阻斷交通，討要工資，遭到大批警察、特警、城管強行驅散，多名工人被抓捕。
目前大陸各種社會矛盾尖銳，群體維權抗暴事件頻發，據民間不完全統計，僅7月1號一天，大陸各地發生的群體事件至少有69起。

Darkest Year In Decades For The Hong Kong Press
On July 6, the Hong Kong Journalists Association (HKJA)
released it’s annual report of free expression.
This revealed Hong Kong’s press freedom was significantly
worse last year, which was the darkest year in decades.
Some of the examples from the report include:
Former Ming Pao editor Liu Chun was attacked;
Commercial Radio politically outspoken talk-show host
Li Huiling was sacked;
Advertising was withdrawn from Apple Daily and am730;
The Government refused to grant free licenses to Hong Kong
TV Internet and other events.
This all shows that Hong Kong media suffered pressure
from all quarters.
Hong Kong media self-censorship has become increasingly
severe.
The same day, HKJA announced the establishment of a self-
censorship supervising Committee.
This will accept complaints from reporters and commentators
and expose confirmed cases.
Uyghurs Protested Globally at the Fifth Anniversary of
The 2009 July 5 Event
July 5 is the fifth anniversary of the bloodshed event
in Xinjiang.
The overseas World Uygur Congress (WUC) said Chinese
authorities did not learn lessons from the event.
They are still suppressing Uygurs in various ways.
The WUC said they called on the international community
through global protest to pay attention to the injustices.
July 5, 2009, a large-scale protest happened
in Urumqi, Xinjiang.
At least 200 died and more than 1,000 were injured.
Chinese authorities and the overseas Uygur organization have
different descriptions of what took place.
The Chinese officials claimed that thugs lashed out and
killed innocent people to make a disturbance.
The overseas Uygur organization quoted witnesss’ saying the
Chinese State police used deadly weapons against peaceful
demonstrators. Chinese authorities blocked all information
after that to make the truth unable to be investigated.
Workers Requested Salary Payment in Hebei
On July 5, one thousand construction workers blocked
the road in protest.
They were requesting payment of their salaries.
According to a Radio Free Asia report, Handan Han San
construction company project department owed thousands
of construction workers six months of wages.
On the 5th morning, the workers took banners and blocked
the road intersection to demand payment.
A large number of police, special police and local officials
forcibly dispersed them; several workers were arrested.
Currently there are various social reactions and frequent
activist groups uprisings.
According to available information, there were at least 69
group events across the mainland just on July 1.
