Disasters in July Have Chinese Reflecting On Injustices
It’s been a scorching July, with disasters and strange weather
patterns showing up one after another across mainland China.
Many citizens say their cities feel like an oven,
with many people having died from heatstroke.
Some strange phenomena have also appeared,
such as snowfall in Ningbo city, Zhejiang province,
dust storms in Hexi Corridor, Gansu province,
and a meteorite hitting a village in Xinjiang.
In regards to this disastrous and frightful July, observers
have mentioned that traditional Chinese culture advocates
the interaction and harmony between heaven and humankind;
according to the culture, with the recent spate of disasters
and odd phenomena, it must be that some people are doing
too many bad deeds and are about to be punished by heaven.
Chinese citizens have exclaimed: “Heaven is enraged,
people are complaining, it must be a sign of terrible injustice."
Since the end of July, 43 cities and counties in China
have been experiencing temperatures over 40˚C (104˚F) ,
while 53 cities and counties had extremely hot weather.
Local media reported that eggs could be fried on the road,
meat could be fried on a marble bench, and live fish
became fried fish after a fish transport truck turned over.
Meanwhile, there have been many reports of heatstroke deaths.
In Shanghai alone, over a dozen of people died from the heat.
Under the sustained high temperatures, many places suffered
from drought, with over 12 million people in Guizhou province
having been affected, and nearly 2 million of whom are
having difficulties getting drinking water.
On July 30, Ningbo city in Zhejiang province had snow,
hail, thunderstorms and gale-force winds; meanwhile,
sandstorms suddenly hit Hexi Corridor in Gansu province,
with sand covering the sky, making day seem like night;
at midnight on July 31, Gaizi village in
Xinjiang province was hit by a meteorite,
leaving a crater two meters deep and
windows on some houses shattered.
On August 1, some regions in Shanghai and Hangzhou
suffered snow and hail.
Facing these many odd events, some people have exclaimed:
“Heaven is infuriated, while people are complaining,
there must be an extremely appalling injustice going on."
Zhang Tianliang, visiting professor at George Mason University
says that, there are always many droughts, hurricanes,
floods, earthquakes, and landslides in China.
It was the beginning of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s
persecution of Falun Gong in 1999 when a similar heat wave
hit Beijing, with high temperatures of over 40˚C for many days.
Zhang Tianliang: “For the Chinese people, they traditionally
have a belief in the interaction between heaven and humanity.
The famous scholar Dong Zhongshu spoke of this in the
Han Dynasty, after one does many bad deeds,
there might be natural disasters awaiting."
Zhang also mentioned that under the brainwashing
propaganda of ‘atheism’ from the CCP,
many Chinese people now no longer believe that
there is any relationship between human actions and the natural world,
yet, many facts which are placed
in front of people can’t be explained.
For example, on March 8, 1976, after the Jilin meteorite fall,
the CCP’s big three: Mao Zedong, Zhu De and Zhou Enlai
died one after another.
In July of the same year, Tangsha city, Hebei province had a
7.8 magnitude earthquake in which over 240,000 people died.
On February 15, 1997, Heze city, Shandong province,
saw a massive meteorite shower.
On February 19, Deng Xiaoping, the second
generation leader of the CCP, died,
after which the third generation leader, Jiang Zemin,
began comprehensively ‘ruling the country via corruption’.
Zhang Tianliang: “If there are natural disasters, the people
in power should examine themselves for any problems
in their governance.
One chapter in ‘Records of the Great Historian’ titled
‘Tian Guan Shu’ tells of the correspondence between
astrology and the human world, so I think that on this issue,
it’s existence doesn’t depend on your believing in it or not."
Li Yuanhua, former mainland Chinese historical expert
living in Australia, also believes that
according to ancient Chinese belief in the harmony
between heaven and humans,
any natural disaster is associated with the human world.
On July 20, 14 years ago, the CCP colluded with Jiang Zemin
and his gang to start the bloody persecution of Falun Gong.
Fourteen years later, the heir to Jiang’s gang, Bo Xilai, former
Chongqing Municipal Party Committee Secretary, faces trial.
Yet, the core of Bo’s crimes, a coup d’etat and harvesting organs
from living Falun Gong practitioners, remain hidden by the CCP.
Li Yuanhua says that the frequent disasters that
happened in July are definitely not coincidental, and
should be said to be very closely associated with Bo’s case.
Li Yuanhua: “In order to extend the CCP’s regime,
it only finds some insignificant crimes of Bo to maintain
the so-called stability of the CCP regime.
In fact, heaven is warning people via these natural disasters,
in China there is a saying:
heaven is enraged, people are complaining,
if the people are complaining so much,
the heaven’s wrath will be manifested through
a variety of odd natural phenomena."
Li Yuanhua says that decades of brutal rule by the CCP
has led to severe discontent in the Chinese society,
with a surge in large-scale ‘mass incidents’, the whole society
is like a powder keg, which is ready to explode at any time.
