1月18號，大陸《中央電視臺》「春晚」節目的官方微博說，大陸小品演員趙本山因作品未達預期，決定放棄登上「蛇年春晚」的機會。
之前有媒體披露，趙本山是涉及「周永康、薄熙來密謀政變」的核心人物之一，如果政變成功，可能由趙本山出任文化部部長。而早在五年前，薄熙來和趙本山曾因為「蟻力神」重大非法集資案，牽連到一起。
去年趙本山沒能上春晚，就有多方消息指稱，趙本山和「薄熙來、王立軍」走得太近。這次「春晚」，趙本山再次被拒絕，有評論認為，目前正是薄案開審前刻，趙本山不能參加「春晚」，絕對不是「節目不夠好」這樣簡單的理由。
西藏境內藏人自焚人數上升為100人
1月18號下午3點多，西藏安多境內，也就是現在的四川阿壩州紅原縣，一名年輕藏人點火自焚，當場身亡。
這是今年發生的第二起藏人自焚抗議事件，至此，西藏境內藏人自焚人數上升為100人。「臉書」上有消息說，自焚犧牲的藏人名字可能是才讓彭措（Tsering Phuntsok），也可能是珠確多吉（Dumchok Dorje）。他遺下了妻子和兩個孩子。而他的遺體被當局軍警搶走。當地寺院為他舉行了祈禱法會。
而目前在達賴喇嘛駐北美代表處任職的貢噶扎西（Kunga Tashi），北美時間18號中午在推特上留言說﹕「中共當局為了加強掠奪西藏豐富的自然資源，近日又強迫西藏林周縣藏人搬遷到別處，使當地農牧民生存面臨嚴重危機。」
李春城曾出入9億「起步居」別墅
18號下午，「中國天網人權事務中心」，刊登涉嫌嚴重違紀被免職的原四川省委副書記李春城入獄前，時常出入的神秘「起步居」的別墅照片。
「起步居」共計三座別墅，位於四川成都雙流縣，佔地約180畝。別墅內養了兩只價值數萬元的黑天鵝，由兩名保安輪班護理，按時放養。
據「天網」報導，外掛「川投網球賽事中心」的「起步居」，是由「川投集團」徵地建設。「川投」以每畝52萬元獲得基本農田680.83畝，村民每畝僅獲得4萬元徵地補償﹔而同一地段的其他項目，卻以每畝360萬元獲得。前段時間「起步」居所屬地塊打算變賣，估價為9億元。
知情人士說，雙流縣縣委書記高志堅和李春城等人時常出入這裡。

Why Is Zhao Benshan Out Of The Spring Festival Gala?
On Jan. 18th, China Central TV made an announcement on its
official microblog page- Spring Festival Gala.
It said that Comedian Zhao Benshan was dissatisfied with
the sketch he had prepared for the show, so he is out.
Prior to this, media revealed that Zhao was a core person
involved in “Zhou Yongkang and Bo Xilai conspired coup.”
If the was coup successful, Zhou was promised he could take
over the Cultural Minister’s position.
Five years ago, Bo and Zhao were implicated along with
Yilishen in an illegal fundraising case.
Zhao bowed out of last year’s program. Sources said it was
because he was too close to Bo Xilai and Wang Lijun.
This year, Zhao was out again. Some comments said that now,
right before Bo Xilai’s trial, Zhao was out.
The reason isn’t as simple as saying his comedy sketch
wasn’t good enough.
Tibetans Self-Immolation Toll Reach 100
On Jan. 18th in Amdo region of Tibet, now called Hongyuan
County in Aba, Sichuan Province, a young Tibetan set himself
on fire at 3pm and died on the site.
This is the second Tibetan self-immolation incident this year.
Self-immolation figure has reached 100 in total.
Facebook sources said that the young Tibetan’s name could
be Tsering Phuntsok, or Dumchok Dorje.
He left a wife and two children behind. His body was snatched
by military police. The local monastery held prayers for his death.
Kunga Tashi, currently serving in the Dalai Lama’s
representative office in North America tweeted on Jan. 18th:
“In order to strengthen the plundering of Tibet’s rich natural
resources, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) recently
forced Tibetans in Lizhou County to move. It caused Tibetan
farmers difficulty to survive.
Li Chuncheng Seen in a Villa Worth 900 Million Yuan
In the afternoon of Jan. 18th, China Tianwang Human Rights
Service (CTHRS) published some photos.
The photos were about Li Chuncheng,
former Sichuan vice secretary before he was sent to jail.
Photos show a mystery villa that he often went to.
The villa has 3 houses, located in Shuanliu County,
Sichuan Province.
It covers about 180 mu of land. There are two black swans
in the villa worth several million yuan.
Two security guards take care of the swans bringing
them in and out.
The CTHRS reported that outside the villa, a sign shows:
Chuantou Tennis Tournament Centre, built by Chuantou Group.
Chuantou bought 680.83 mu farmland, and paid
520,000 yuan per mu.
Villagers only received 40,000 yuan per mu in compensation.
However, in the same area for other projects,
farmland can be sold for 3.6 million yuan per mu.
Recently, the villa was up for sale, an estimated worth of
900 million yuan.
Insiders said that Gao Zhijian, secretary of Shuanliu County
and Li Chuncheng were often seen there.
