【新唐人2013年01月14日訊】《南方週末》抗議事件本週已恢復出刊而暫告一段落。來自京城的消息說，《財新》傳媒總編輯胡舒立曾受所謂的「南方朋友」之託，向中央政治局常委兼中紀委書記王岐山求助，由王出面聯絡廣東省委書記胡春華，最終達成妥協。
香港《明報》11號刊發報導說，《財新》傳媒總編輯胡舒立曾受「南方朋友」之託，向與她素有交情的王岐山求助。
消息指稱，在新一屆中央政治局常委分工中，雖然王岐山並不分管文宣，但由於王曾任職廣東省委常委兼常務副省 長，與廣東也算素有淵源，所以由他出面聯絡胡春華親自協調，最終在省委宣傳部長庹震等人參與磋商後，得出現有結果：總編黃燦去職，報紙不再有事前審查並恢復正常出版，報社採編人員也不會受罰，庹震不會被撤職。
在此之前，《路透社》報導，《南周》協議的條件是，《南方週末》復工，取消出版前審查作為交換，主編黃燦撤職，廣東省宣傳部長庹震也將下臺,但是為顧及面子，不會讓他立即離職。
而從最新消息來看，庹震安然無恙。廣東作家，「獨立中文筆會」網委協調人野渡表示，庹震即使離職，也不會被降級。
獨立中文筆會網委協調人野渡：「庹震所謂離職應該是調到另外一個部門去，因為在官方來說，他並沒有犯錯誤，反而是那些官方利益的堅決維護者，實際上對他不可能有行政的降級等等處理措施。可能為了平息目前的矛盾就是調到一個另外不同部門而已。」
野渡認為，目前高層對「南周事件」採取的措施主要是避免矛盾激化。
獨立中文筆會網委協調人野渡：「因為在目前這個體制內外都在人心思變的局面底下，官方想用太急性的打壓措施也是不可能做到的。特別是在全國媒體人，利用各種不同途徑表達出這個聲音的時候，他們想做的是儘快平息矛盾，而不是讓它激化，實際上我們看到的也是這樣的處理手法。」
《南方週末》的復工並未換取庹震的下臺，而取消出版前審查的承諾也沒有履行。據《金融時報》1月10號報導，在最新一期的報紙當中，《南方週末》的社論再次被槍斃。社論說，「南方週末本身是改革的產物，它必須承擔起為改革探路的責任。」但是週四出版的報紙，沒有刊登這篇社論。
《紐約時報》報導說，《南方週末》週四的出版稍微延遲，一名高級編輯透露說，部分原因是因為關於內容，報社內部發生爭議，報紙領導層和員工就是否要發表一份捍衛報紙的社論，以及讀者的來信聲援，發生分歧。領導層選擇不發表社論或者讀者來信以平息危機。
外媒評論說，《南方週末》借庹震篡改新年獻詞這件事，探測中央的改革誠意和底線。從庹震安然無恙的結局來看，今後的新聞自由並不樂觀。
野渡認為，新聞自由在中國來說是從屬於執政黨利益的。如果執政黨一天不實行政治改革，那麼在新聞自由方面，中共當局不可能做到放鬆。
香港《明報》指出，中共廣東省委已發出文件，指出這次事件「從網上走到網下」，是中共十八大後和今年大陸人大、政協「兩會」前的一次「意識形態的較量」。廣東省委文件同時要求各級黨委，留意「南周事件」的「複雜化、擴大化、政治化」傾向。
《明報》同時指出，廣東省委書記胡春華決定「求穩」，黃燦不再擔任《南方週末》總編輯，但仍保留「南方報業傳媒集團」社委等職務。廣東省委宣傳部一名對外宣傳辦公室官員表示，目前沒有接到宣傳部長庹震離職的訊息。

Hu Shuli Entrusted by Southern Weekly to Ask for Wang Qishan’s Help
The Southern Weekly has resumed its edition this week
and the strike has come to an end.
Caixin Media editor-in-chief, Hu Shuli, was said to have
been entrusted by a friend in the Southern Weekly to seek
help from Wang Qishan, the Politburo Standing Committee
and the secretary of Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Hu Chunhua was thus contacted and came forward
to resolve the conflict.
According to Hong Kong’s Ming Pao News on the 11th,
Caixin Media editor-in-chief, Hu Shuli,
entrusted by a friend at Southern Weekly,
asked help from Wang Qishan, Hu’s long time friend.
Wang Qishan is the current Standing Committee
of the Politburo, and is not in charge of propaganda.
He was once the Provincial Party Standing Committee
and the executive vice governor of Guangdong.
It seemed natural for him to come forward to contact Hu Chunhua.
In the presence of Tuo Zhen, the Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Minister, and others, Hu coordinated the settlement.
It was agreed that editor-in-Chief Huang Can will resign,
the newspaper is not subject to inspection and will resume
its edition, no reporter or editor will be punished,
and Tuo Zhen will not be removed from office.
Reuters previously reported that the deal is the journalists
will go back to work in exchange for removal of inspection prior to publication.
Editor Huang Can will be dismissed, and Tuo Zhen,
Propaganda Minister of Guangdong Province, will leave his post.
However, in order to save face, Tuo will not leave immediately.
According to the latest development,
Tuo Zhen seemed to remain.
Ye Du, a member of the Independent Chinese PEN Center,
indicates that Tuo Zhen will not be demoted even if he leaves the office.
Independent Chinese PEN member Ye Du: “Tuo Zhen might
be transferred to another department because officially, he did not make mistakes.
Being a resolute defender of official interests, in fact,
there should not be any administrative demotion for him.
He will only be transferred to a different department
to pacify the current conflict.”
Ye Du believes the authorities have avoided intensifying
the conflict in handling with the Southern Weekly incident.
Ye Du: “People are seeking changes these days.
Under such a condition, an extreme repressive measure
is impossible.
Domestic media, especially, are expressing their voice
through various routes.
The regime wants to settle, rather than to intensify
the conflict. That’s what we are seeing now.”
Southern Weekly resumed in exchange of Tuo Zhen’s post
and abolition of inspection.
However, officials followed through with neither.
According to a financial Times report on the 10th, the latest
editorial of Southern Weekly was once again censored.
The original editorial, “As a product of reform, Southern
Weekly must carry the reform pathfinder responsibility,” was not seen in Thursday’s edition.
New York Times reported that Southern Weekly’s,
“Thursday edition went to press late partly because of
internal disputes over content, one senior editor said.”
The newspaper’s leadership and employees disagreed
“over whether to publish an editorial defending the
Newspaper and letters of support from readers,” and
“the leadership chose not to publish the editorial or the letters in an effort to calm the crisis.”
It was commented that through the shock of Tuo Zhen’s
rewriting the New Year’s editorial, Southern Weekly probed the authorities’ reform.
The freedom of press is not optimistic based on the fact
that Tuo Zhen remains at his post.
Du Ye says that freedom of the press in China is subordinate
to the ruling party interests.
Without the implementation of political reforms,
the Communist regime will not let go of freedom of the press.
Hong Kong’s Ming Pao News reported that Guangdong
Provincial Party Committee has issued a paper indicating the incident as an, “ideological contest."
It asked the Party committees at all levels to watch out
for the “complicating, intensifying, and politicizing” of the Southern Weekly incident.
Ming Pao News also pointed out Guangdong Party Secretary
Hu Chunhua’s determination to “maintain stability.”
Huang Can will no longer serve as the editor-in-chief
of Southern Weekly, but remains as the Southern Newspaper Media Group Social Committee.

Department said that there’s no news about Tuo Zhen leaving his propaganda minister position.
