中共總書記胡錦濤在「十八大」上承諾，在2020年之前把中國人均收入翻一番，對此，大陸網民表示質疑，認為是在玩「數字遊戲」。
一名重慶網友說：「收入將翻一番，但商品價格將是現在的三倍，房地產價格將是現在的5倍。收入增長又有甚麼意義？」
另一位網名「專制優勢」的網友，則在網上貼出了十年來中國農民的收入比較表，更清楚的展示了網民的這種情緒。收入比較表上，2000年的農民人均年收入只有6000元人民幣，可以買4頭牛。到了2010年，農民人均年收入翻了一番，達到1萬2千元人民幣，但是只能買得起一頭牛。
香港人對中國認同感跌至新低
胡錦濤在「十八大」的報告中還說，希望香港人能以中國人為榮，但是，香港「中文大學傳播與民調中心」最新公布的調查顯示，香港人自認為是中國人的只有12.6% ，跌到16年以來的最低點，其中，「80後」港人的比例更低，只有2.4%。
調查還顯示，有8.9%及8.5%香港人抗拒中共的國歌和國旗，也達16年來新高。
《法國國際廣播電臺》引述負責調查的「中文大學新聞與傳播學院」教授馬傑偉的分析說，香港人的「中國人」身份認同低，是因為香港人對國內情況更了解，包括打壓人權。他指出，胡錦濤單是呼籲港人以中國人為榮作用不大，要想增加港人認同感，根本之道是改善中國人權和加強在港進行國民教育。不過，如果不改善人權而只是強推國民教育，就成了洗腦教育，非香港之福。
浙江訪民天安門撒傳單
中共十八大期間，北京警方嚴密限制各地的維權人士上訪，據《六四天網》報導，在北京國家信訪局門口「截訪」的各地維穩人員就多達2000多人。但是，還是有訪民成功突破封鎖，到天安門廣場撒傳單，訴冤情。
據海外媒體報導，11月11號，浙江天臺訪民徐江姣成功到達「紀念碑」附近，當警察要求查看她的身份證及檢查她的背包的時候，她趕緊將隨身攜帶的二百多份揭露當地政府的犯罪材料撒出去。隨後，她被廣場的警察帶走。
據大陸《維權網》12號報導，徐江姣已經被送到關押訪民的黑監獄「久敬莊」。
藏區又發生兩起自焚事件
據《美國之音》報導，中國藏區11月12號一天之內，再度發生兩起自焚事件。一起發生在下午3點多，24歲的藏人男子寧格扎西，在家鄉青海同仁縣多瓦鄉自焚。另一起發生在下午4點多，20歲的男子寧嘉本，也是在同仁縣自焚的。
報導說，進入11月以來，不到半個月的時間，藏區已經發生了10起自焚事件。而從2009年至今，藏民地區已發生71起自焚事件，其中56人死亡。

Netizens doubts Hu Jintao’s Goal of Doubling Income by 2020
Hu Jintao, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) General
Secretary, said during the 18th Party Congress that
China has set a goal of doubling its economic output
and people’s per capita income by 2020.
Netizens in mainland China doubted that
they are just playing a “figure game.”
A netizen in Chongqing posted, “The income will double,
but the price of goods will be triple,
housing price will be five times rising up,
what’s the point?”
Another netizen posted a chart of farmer’s annual income
over the past decade.
What he did clearly express most netizens mood.
The chart indicates that farmer’s annual income was
6000 Yuan (US$962) in 2000. They can buy four cows.
Farmer’s annual income doubled to 12,000 Yuan (US$1925)
in 2010, but can only afford one cows.
Majority of Hong Kong People Doesn’t Recognize Chinese Identities
Hu Jintao also said that people in Hong Kong should be
proud of being a Chinese.
However, according to the latest survey from Hong Kong’s
Chinese University Poll Center,
only 12.6% of Hong Kong people consider themselves as a
Chinese. It dropped to the lowest level over the past 16 years.
People born after 1980s had taken the
smallest proportion of 2.4%.
The survey shows that there are about 8.9% Hong Kong
people resist the CCP’s national song and flag,
It reached a highest level over the past 16 years.
Radio France Internationale cited Prof. Ma Jiewei, who is in
charge of the survey.
Ma analyzed the reason of Hong Kong people had poor
recognition of Chinese identities.
He said because they knew the mainland situation,
including the suppression of human rights.
Ma said that Hu Jintao’s promise doesn’t work.
To win Hong Kong people’s recognition,
they must change the human rights situation in China, implement national education in Hong Kong.
However, without improving human rights situation, only
to carry out national education, it is a brainwashing education.
Not making Hong Kong’s fortune.
Petitioners Threw Flyers In Tiananmen Square
During the 18th Party Congress, Beijing police intensify
the restriction on activists’ appeal.
According to 64tianwang website, there are over 2000 staffs
being sent to prevent petitioners from appealing in Beijing.
However, some petitioners still successfully break the blockage,
throwing flyers to the air and appealing in Tiananmen Square.
Overseas media reported that, on Nov.11, a petitioner,
Xu Jiangjiao came from Tiantai in Zhejiang province
approached to the People’s Monument.
When police came to request her identification and
searching her bag, she threw out over 200 flyers,
information about her local authorities’ corruption.
Soon she was taken away by police from Tiananmen Square.
On Nov. 12, the Mainland China’s Human Rights Defenders
reported that Xu has been sent to the black jail,
the Jiujingzhuan, where specially use to hold petitioners.
Two Titetans Self-Immolate
Voice of America reported that, on Nov.12, two self-immolation
incidents happened in Tibetan ethnic areas in China.
One happened at 3pm, a 24-year-old man set himself on fire
at his hometown, Dowa of Tongren county in Qinghai province.
Another one happened at 4pm, a 20-year-old man
set himself on fire in same county.
The report said that since November, 10 self-immolation
incidents took place within two weeks.
Since 2009, 71 self-immolation incidents happened
in Tibetan ethnic areas, 56 died.
