“Reversing History”?
2011 is the 100 Anniversary of Xinhai Revolution.
The Republic of China regime in Taiwan
has been following the democratic process
set up by Sun Yat-sen: from military administration,
to authority and to constitutional administration.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP), however,
overthrew the KMT government and seized power
via violence. There are comments that the CCP
took the route of dictatorship that is anti-democracy,
anti-rule of law, and anti-peace. Many believe
CCP has driven China against the current of history.
Reporter:
China’s Global Times published an editorial
on June 13, saying that at present some Chinese
advocate the use of violence to fight social injustice,
and “to be against the CCP” is the reverse of history.
It will bring the current China ruled by the so-called
“law and authority" to a prior stage of life and death.
Political commentator Wu Fan said that the CCP
overthrew the KMT government 60 years ago,
but it does not allow others to overthrow the CCP,
and labels those who try as reversing history.
Wu Fan: “The CCP is against history.
It has killed so many people.
The KTM leaders did not kill this much.
The Qing Dynasty emperors did not kill this much.
With industrialization, air, land and water
are all polluted. We can list all their crimes.”
Global Times’ article noted, “A society
of evil revenge is a deadly knot since ancient times.
In the age of the Internet, it has a stronger impact.”
Wu Fan thinks that the protest in Zengcheng City
in Guangzhou, and explosions in Fuzhou, Jiangxi
are not isolated cases, but part of a series of events.
Wu Fan senses that people cannot take it anymore,
and that people are starting to awake.
Wu Fan: “People now protest for a number of things,
including economic downturn, unemployment,
and price rises. People are looking for opportunities
to let out their anger. They are starting to awake!
Global Times is trying to understate the severity,
and cover it up. It can’t cover up people’s actions.”
Lan Shu said the editorial of Global Times
is full of loopholes. The so-called
“rule of law and authority" is a contrast to reality,
as the one who destroys rule of law is CCP itself.
He said conflicts will intensify, people hate the CCP.
Lan Shu: “All Chinese people know there is no
‘rule of law’ in China. There is only ‘rule of CCP’.
CCP is above the law. In order for China to move
toward ‘rule of law’, we should abandon the CCP.”
Global Times’ article, titled “It Is Against History
To Be Against CCP” hopes China’s so-called
“mainstream society” will break the silence.
The article said, “Those who challenge the legal
orders ”are only a “small number”. Lan Shu thinks
that the article did not say clearly where
to find mainstream opinion in China.
Lan Shu: “What is the mainstream public opinion?
In China, it is whoever has the loudest voice.
Of course, CCP has the loudest voice. It controls
all media. So in a land without freedom of press,
how can one know the mainstream public opinion?”
Lan Shu thinks the purpose of the editorial
is to impose the legality of CCP’s regime.
